1 And I saw other lightnings and the stars of heaven, and I saw how He called them all by their names and they hearkened unto Him.
I beheld another splendour, and the stars of heaven. I observed that he called them all by their respective names, and that they heard. In a righteous balance I saw that he weighed out with their light the amplitude of their places, and the day of their appearance, [^l1] and their conversion. Splendour produced splendour; and their conversion *was* into the number of the angels, and of the faithful.
And again I saw lightning, and the stars of heaven, and I saw how he called them all by their names, and they heard him.

2 And I saw how they are weighed in a righteous balance according to their proportions of light: (I saw) the width of their spaces and the day of their appearing, and how their revolution produces lightning: and (I saw) their revolution according to the number of the angels, and (how) they keep faith with each other.
Then I inquired of the angel, who proceeded with me, and explained to me secret things, What *their names* were. He answered, A similitude of those has the Lord of spirits shown thee. They are names of the righteous who dwell upon earth, and who believe in the name of the Lord of spirits for ever and for ever.
And I saw that they were weighed on the scales of justice, according to their light, according to the width of their places, and the day of their appearance, and their course ; one flash of lightning produces another, and their course according to the number of angels, and their fidelity they preserved among themselves.
